Share and Care is the leading provider of homeshare across the UK and offers help to older people and anyone with support needs, including families and adults with disabilities, across London and throughout mainland UK.
Homeshare offers vulnerable, older or disabled people (Householders) low-cost, live-in practical help for just £5.00 per day which enables independence in their own home as well as some company, reassurance and a chance for a new friendship to grow. The Householder offers a bedroom in their home to a carefully matched Sharer, who provides companionship and low-level practical support in return.
For Sharers (volunteers who may be mature students, key workers or other professionals), Homeshare offers an affordable housing option at £5.00 per day, but more importantly the opportunity to develop a connection with people, give something back to society and improve their own psychological well-being.
Homeshare can also offer dementia care and support in the home. Sharers cannot give personal care, but Homeshare can sit alongside a care package from an external agency if additional support is required.
