The London Museum of Water & Steam at Kew Bridge, Brentford, hosts community groups for everything from playing with toy trains to art workshops to carers’ coffee mornings.
Our Barn, the charity working with young people aged between 18 and 35 with learning disabilities or autism, runs a training café called Pump and Grind at the museum: this hosts a range of activities for the local community Thursday-Sunday.
The London Museum of Water & Steam also regularly hosts activities run by Speak Out in Hounslow for people with learning disabilities or autism.
Opening hours are as follows:
Café: Thursdays – Sundays 10am-4pm
Museum: Saturdays and Sundays in term time; Wednesdays – Sundays in summer and Easter holidays; every day during half terms and Bank Holidays.
