West London Community Eating Disorders Service is a specialist outpatient service run by West London NHS Trust which offers assessment, treatment and monitoring for people aged 18 and over with conditions such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder.
The team consists of psychologists, trainees, a dietitian and administration staff who work closely with GPs and other medical professionals involved in their patients’ care.
The team does not offer psychiatric reviews or prescribe medication.
The community eating disorder service provides a range of psychological therapies and dietetic input, based on what’s most beneficial and suitable for the person being referred. These include group cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), group dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), one-to-one therapy and dietetic treatment.
